Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT):

Psychodynamic therapy:

This therapy helps the counselee to understand and gain an insight into the unconscious mind and the way ideas/thoughts are processed into the unconscious mind and how those suppressed thoughts affect our current thoughts or ways of looking at life and things. Counselee would learn about how their past could be a cause to their current problems and how to plan and work on things in a healthier way.

Behavior therapy:

The idea of behavior therapy was given by Pavlov & Skinner and it is widely used for behavior modification and helps in overcoming phobias, fears and anxiety. This therapy focuses on exposing of the fear or the stressful experience gradually which helps to cope up with the stressful experience by changing the response and the perception to the event.

Hypnotherapy:

With the help of the counsellor, the counselee faces guided relaxation by focusing the attention and exploring the painful thoughts, feelings that might be hidden/suppressed by the unconscious mind by blocking the state of anything that might be going around. This state occurs naturally with the help of a trained counsellor.

Expressive Arts Therapy :

Expressive Arts-based therapy brings together psychology and the creative processes. It's a multi-modal approach that uses different art forms- visual arts, dance/movement, writing, music, theater to facilitate the therapeutic process. It's essence lies in it's journey to use different senses to explore inner and outer worlds of an individual. It's refreshing in it's approach as "expression" is established through various other areas than language primarily.

Supportive psychotherapy:

An integrative approach of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal concepts which focuses on reducing the intensity of the stress. It focuses on the adaptive patterns of behavior to reduce the conflicts that occurring in the mind.
